Navigating your membership

👋🏾 We are delighted to have you with us at the Allied Health and Therapy Network.

You might be reading this post because you're curious about what membership entails, or because you've already joined up and need some help figuring out where to look for everything.

Thank you for either considering joining or already taking the step to join. We're about to embark on something we think is pretty special and game-changing. The feedback we've received from all the product partners we've entered into relationships with so far suggests they feel the same. We hope you make the decision to join us on our journey.

Money stuff

When you join, you can view your invoice in your account area under the Payment Details tab. Select 'view receipt' to see what you've paid us.

By right clicking on your mouse or touch pad you can opt to 'print' the receipt.

Print to PDF will let you save your receipt in pdf format on your computer so you can forward this to your accountant when needed.

  • If you have any problems viewing your receipt, please email: with the title 'request receipt' and we'll send your receipt manually to you.

👩‍🦱 Setting up your public profile

After you've joined us, the first thing you should do is create your public profile. This is the profile that explains who you are and what you do. You can make yourself visible in our public directory from here, allowing clients to locate and contact you quickly. The public profile can be located on the account page of your membership under a toggle option.

You have the option of uploading a photo; we urge that you do so because clients are more likely to click on a profile that includes a photo. Don't forget to include information about yourself, such as who you are, the clientele you work with, and your availability.

  • There is a separate blog in the Business Hub going into more detail about how to "put your best foot forward" in your profile area.

Once you've created your public profile, you're ready to go. Within the public profile page, under the information about 'My Online Listing', you'll find a small consent tick box with the label 'switch on the AHTN search function' - this allows us to display your profile among our other allied health, and related, professionals in our public directory. You are in control and can switch this on and off from within your public profile area.

📧 Referral scheme

At AHT Network, we have a referral programme. You can earn up to a 3% discount on your annual renewal price by inviting other professionals to join the AHT network. You can invite up to 5 individuals per annual year, saving you up to 15 % if they also join on an annual plan!

Inviting others is simple:

1.     Get your member code number from your public profile page,

2.     Share your member code with your colleagues,

3.     Ensure they enter this code when signing up, where it asks them to state if they were referred by an existing member.

We will do the rest from there. We hope you love the platform enough to share with your colleagues and peers. Having a bigger community will benefit all of us as well as the public.

📈Help us to grow faster so we in turn can implement all the ideas we have to help you become the best you can be!

🖱️ Using the member hub

The member hub is located on the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner once you've logged in. By clicking this you’ll have access to your account area and to the member hub.

We're still working on adding some additional features. So, let's talk about the features that have already been implemented and those that will be completed shortly.

The News and Advertising dropdown

When you log into your account you'll see a News & Advertising link along the top of the page.

This is where any news or advertising you have submitted to us will be displayed. We will verify whatever you submit however and ask you to amend anything we feel does not meet our standards.

You can submit news you wish to share with other members or advertise for courses or services you offer other members by sending us your submissions in the 'Member Submission' area of your account area.

  • Our intention is to keep all advertising for our members free forever. Advertise as much as you want for as long as you want.

🩺 The clinical hub

The clinical hub has several features that will benefit you clinically as an allied health or education professional.

➡️ The CPD diary. From within your membership, you can track all your CPD activities here. This doesn't have to be used on a laptop; it can also be used on a smartphone, making it convenient for those of you who are always on the road. Although our diary has been tailored to the format of the Health Care Professions Council audit, it is very clear and transparent and we think it should meet the needs of all the professionals on our network, whether the HCPC is their professional body or not.

We've made it easier to find by placing this in the clinical hub as well as the main page of the member hub.

  • Our online CPD Diary is a benefit provided with your membership at no extra cost, for as long as you remain a member of the Allied Health and Therapy Network.

➡️ Journal access. Did you realise that reading journals contribute to your continuing professional development? Well, as part of your membership, you'll get access to a number of journals through our institutional subscription. We have plans to expand the number of journals we offer in the future. While we're waiting for the institutional subscription to be integrated into the site, why not check out the blog we created about using journals for logging CPD? There's information in that blog about how to access many free (recently published) articles on the internet also!

  • Our institutional journal subscription is a benefit provided with your membership at no extra cost, for as long as you remain a member of the Allied Health and Therapy Network.

➡️ Training courses. The Allied Health and Therapy Network has partnered with Caredemy to provide you access to cost effective mandatory training necessary for the workplace, as well as courses related to many areas of clinical interest. There are over 100+ training courses available through Caredemy that can be purchased individually or as a set. All have instant access and are valid for 12 months.

Simply access the Caredemy site through the training link in the clinical hub, add the course/s you want to your basket and then proceed to the checkout. The Caredemy site will guide you through the rest of the purchase process.

➡️ Clinical blogs. If you wish to submit a clinical blog for your own CPD, and to share with other professionals, please either email  with the subject 'clinical blog submission', or submit it through the 'member submission' link in your account area. We will then review what you've sent.

🤝🏾 The business hub

The business hub has several features that will benefit your business as an allied health or education professional.

➡️ Teletherapy Platform. The Allied Health and Therapy Network have partnered with Theraplatform to provide discounted access to a robust and well established online platform to cater to your remote working needs. However, we also suggest you have a look at what else Theraplatform can offer your business - they aren't simply a teletherapy platform.

➡️ Accounting:  No one enjoys doing their books or taxes. It is probably one of the most stressful parts of running a business. We have teamed up with the Accountancy Partnership to provide online accountancy services nationwide (UK only) for a low, fixed, monthly fee.

You’ll receive:

  • Completion of your accounts and tax returns
  • Simple online accounting software
  • Representation if you ever experience an HMRC investigation
  • Unlimited email and phone support
  • And much more

➡️ Insurance: We are delighted to have teamed up with Tapoly Insurance who can provide our members with instant quotes for a range of insurances essential for peace of mind when running their businesses.

➡️ Recruitment: Coming soon.

We know that recruitment is difficult in a number of health sectors currently. We can't fix that problem unfortunately. What we can do is offer a low rate recruitment fee to help with your budgets. We're aiming to offer the lowest rate available on the market to our members (non-members will still have access to our recruitment arm, but they won't be eligible for such competitive rates).

We want to build up our student membership also, so over time our members will have access to the best new graduates available as soon as they start to look for work.

➡️ DBS Checks: We've partnered with DDC (Due Diligence Checking) to provide a DBS application scheme. Being in private practice, especially as a sole trader, makes it challenging to get your DBS checks done. We felt this was something we wanted to help our members with and we hope this takes all the stress and worry out of the process for you from now on.

➡️ Business Blogs. These blogs are only available to members and discuss many aspects of business so that you can learn and grow your business in a variety of ways.

  • We want to bring all of this type of information to you for no extra cost but some of the things we're working on are quite lengthy and detailed. Watch out for instalment blogs that build upon each-other.

🎉Introducing our product partners

As part of your membership, you will receive exclusive discounts for a range of different companies offering a variety of different products and services which are beneficial to our members either business-wise, clinically or personally. Sign up now to receive access to these offers.

We're working on making new connections all the time and more partners are on the way to being announced.

The bigger we get, the better the deals and relationships we can negotiate with all of our partners.

If you are a company or service that is interested in collaborating with us please email us at

⁉️ What does the future hold?

We've got a few things in mind. The search engine is good, but we think it can be even better. We've got another exciting free membership benefit we want to implement, but we need to wait until we have a few more members on board for that.

And, we're interested in hearing from you and what you want too. It's important to us to grow the network in a way that is most beneficial to you. For that, we need your ideas.

If you're a therapist from another profession that is not currently featured on our dropdown list (find that on the search engine) send us a message, which of our current professional groups you tend to liaise with most often and your professional registration body's details (so we can make sure we get that right when we start to verify other professionals from your group) and we'll add your profession to the list.

As always, we're waiting to hear from you at:
